Heidi Menges

Heidi is a Mechanical Engineer fascinated by manufacturing and the tools that enable it.  This interest has manifested in her ongoing NASA-funded work, where she is researching the manufacture of polymer-derived ceramics.

Throughout her life, Heidi has often designed and constructed her own equipment, an activity that has developed her skills with CAD and GD&T, as well as general fabrication techniques such as welding, woodworking, and metal casting.  She takes great pride in her variety of skills, which she works to continually widen. 

Heidi is currently in the middle of her Masters in Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Mexico, where she intends to graduate in May of 2027. After graduation, she plans to continue her engineering career in a tooling design role.
